Community

The Laguna Niguel Football Association believes in leaving the community better off than when we arrived. We support the following organizations through promoting their fundraising events and/or through direct financial support. We encourage our players, clubs and their families to support the worthy causes of these organizations.

Little Feet

In 2006, Steffan Tubbs, a news anchor for 850 KOA Denver, returned home from assignment in Iraq where he witnessed soldiers making peace by passing out soccer balls. He immediately contacted his friend Trevor Slavick, an airline pilot who had a history of giving away balls to kids on his layovers around the world. They launched “Little Feet, Big Goals!” a one-month campaign to send soccer balls to kids in war-torn Iraq. The campaign was a huge success and they began receiving requests for soccer balls from all over the world. In order to meet the requests, more friends got involved and Little Feet was started with one big goal; send soccer balls to underprivileged children around the world. Little Feet sells soccer balls using the “one laptop per child” business model; for every ball someone buys, an additional ball is donated to a player in need. Little Feet has now sent thousands of soccer balls to children in over 40 countries worldwide. More at www.littlefeet.com.
